- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce students to the principles and procedures of participatory methods applicable in experiential learning and game-based activities for adult learners. The course focuses on developing practical skills in leading group activities, including the use of digital and online tools and elements of artificial intelligence. Students will learn how to foster cooperation, empathy, and other soft skills through various forms of interactive work.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: Propose an appropriate facilitation or mediation method for a specific assignment or situation in their future professional environment. Prepare the selected method in terms of both production and organisation. Conduct the moderation or facilitation of the chosen method. Assess the advantages and disadvantages of selected methods and techniques. Evaluate the applicability of the chosen technique for the intended goal and purpose.

- Course Outline (EN) Introductory methodological input by the lecturer on participatory methods: 1.1 Effectiveness of educational methods – andragogical principles with a focus on effective organisation of group and plenary work 1.2 The importance of experiential learning and game-based activities for adult learners; overview of methods and assignment of activities to students/groups Practical training of methods directly in class (scenarios provided by the lecturer): 2.1 Icebreakers – activities for starting and warming up the group 2.2 Interactive lecture 2.3 Discussion methods – plenary discussion, group discussion, panel discussion 2.4 Brainstorming 2.5 Brainwriting 2.6 Case study method 2.7 Roleplay method (staged activities) 2.8 Roleplay and simulation of situations, including the use of AI tools (e.g., chatbot simulating a client or participant) 2.9 Group methods conducted via online connection and digital platforms 2.10 Exercises aimed at developing cooperation, empathy, and other soft skills
