- Course objectives
- The subject emphasizes the introduction of all essential aspects that relate to the quality of life of a child with a disability in early, preschool and school age. The aim is to reflect the developmental specifics of the given age periods and realistic assessment of their individual needs in relation to the educational possibilities of children, pupils and students.
- Learning outcomes
- Expertise:
- the student will clarify the principles of modification of general methods in education and training with respect to the special needs of pupils
- the student will explain the laws of the learning process, its mechanisms, types, course and conditions
- the student characterizes the difficulties of pupils interfering with the teaching process
- the student reproduces highly specialized theoretical knowledge of biological conditioning and social determination in the broader context of the development and formation of the human personality
- the student characterizes current curriculum documents, explains changes related to easier access to education and ensuring equality in education, orientation to individual approach to the needs of students, lifelong learning process, education for life and employment of graduates on the international labor market

- the student will state the deficits of partial functions with a focus on the areas of visual, auditory, tactile movement perception and the social and emotional development of the child in preschool age
- the student will give examples of programs for children with special educational needs to strengthen selected functions
- the student characterizes selected types of disabilities and states their effect on the child and the tasks of the kindergarten
- the student characterizes partial function deficits in preschool age

- The condition for granting credit is the submission, presentation and positive evaluation of the seminar work on the topic: Case study focused on a child of preschool or school age with special educational needs with a prognostic conclusion.

- Teacher's information
- Personal contact in lessons, consultation hours. During ongoing studies, the student uses study support and processes selected correspondence tasks. Here, at the same time, he will demonstrate his knowledge of compulsory literature and contact teaching lectures. The student will be able to continuously consult individually studied subject topics via e-mail, individual or group consultations. The subject has an e-learning course prepared in IS SU and a team established in MS Teams, which also serves as another possible tool for communication with the teacher and between students.
