Zpracování řešení případových studií z manažerské praxe, demonstrování osobnostních vlastností a kompetencí manažerů pomocí testů, analýza modelových situací. Rozsah 5 normostran. Zpracování je podmínkou k získání zápočtu.

Course objectives
LECTURES Purpose of the course is to provide a comprehensive base of fundamental psychological knowledge concerning both to the subject side of managerial agency in challenging conditions where contemporary organisations operate, and the object side of managerial agency, i.e ways of coping managerial tasks and situations by means of the executive personnel of the organisation and by activating of other resources. SEMINAR Demonstration of the ways how personality and personal managerial potential is projected to his recognition and assessment of managerial situations, managerial decision making and designing of managerial interventions in the controlled processess, is purpose of the seminar. Demonstration of the personal qualitites and competencies by means of psychological tests, case studies of the managerial practice, and analysis of model situations and role playing is a part of the seminar, as well as discussions of the key items of the managerial psychology. Topicsof the seminar are presented to students as a copy of the lectures above, but they are approached on the level of acquired skills.

    1. Concept of the managerial psychology in the context of the theory of management and contemporary work and organisation psychology.
    2. Present psychology as point of departure for drawning managerial psychology.
    3. Contemporary demands on management.
    4. Managerial and organisational effectiveness and integrity of management.
    5. Interaction between the subject and object of the management and nature of the managerial activity of managers.
    6. Personality of the manager, structure and dynamics of the personality, personal style.
    7. Psychological aspects of the managerial recognition of situations, thinking and making decisions.
    8. Psychological aspects of the leadership and managing people in organisation.
    9. Managerial performance, workload and psychological stress, organisation of the managerial work.
    10. Psychological aspects of the creative solving of managerial problems.
    11. Managerial self-cognition, self-actualisation, and development of the personal managerial potential.
