- Course objectives
- The course deals with issue of economic and administrative transformation of Czech regions and their integration into European structure and its effort is to clarify the share of local administration and role of other regional subjects in these processes.
- Syllabus
- The course follows the theoretical knowledge of political science, public administration and regional sciences with the aim to demonstrate practically the complicated issue of economic and administrative transformation of Czech regions and their integration into European structure from the point of view of regions. The focus is put on explanation of role and abilities of local administration, especially autonomous authorities and other regional subjects (funds, associations, euroregions etc.) in the frame of multi-sector community cooperation in these processes. On the example of Moravia-Silesia region, the instruments and mechanicals of transformation of the area, deformed in past by extensive development of heavy industry are introduced with use of various resources in modern region whose economic basement will form the medium and light industry using science and technique.
