Course objectives
The subject extends the communication skills in the environment of Health Care. The students will extend and practise the vocabulary needed during the health care provision. The practise situations in ambulances and hospitals will be demonstrated during the lessons.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able react in all possible situations and communicate with English speaking persons. They will be oriented in English name of human body parts, common anamnesis, examination and therapy.

  • 1. Naming of organs, systems and body parts
  • 2. The most common anamnesis, special procedures and examinations
  • 3. Ambulance – patient intake
  • 4. Hospital – patient intake
  • 5. Emergency situations
  • 6. Rescue service
  • 7. Communication with patient: invitation, patient’s medical history
  • 8. Communication with patient: symptoms, diagnosis, treatment procedure
  • 9. Communication with family members
  • 10. Paediatric patient
  • 11. Multicultural approach
  • 12. Patient discharge
