Course objectives
Education in modern methods of social work is essential for preparing future social workers for practice that reflects the current needs and challenges of society. Key topics: motivational interviews, family group conferences, project management in social work.
Learning outcomes
Students will learn to recognize when and how to effectively use motivational interviews, family group conferences, and project management in social work practice. They will perfect their skills in planning and implementing these methods with the aim of supporting client empowerment, improving family dynamics, and increasing the success of interventions focused on community development. They will gain an understanding of how these methods promote collaboration among social workers, clients, and other professionals (transdisciplinarity in social work).

Assessment methods
Exam - Oral - Verification of students' knowledge and skills in accordance with the objectives and content of the course, graded A-E. Conditions for registering for the exam: 1. Attendance - Participation is mandatory. A maximum of 2 hours of absence is allowed due to illness or serious circumstances. The reason for the absence must be sent to the course instructor via email. 2. Presentation of a topic and meeting the requirements for individual exercises - As per the pre-determined schedule, the student must present a topic and be able to discuss it with others. 3. Active participation in exercises - Students are required to actively engage in activities and discussions as assigned. A passive approach may result in not meeting the exercise requirements.
