Course objectives
Objectives: The aim of the course is to provide students with basic information regarding physical education and health activities that they can primarily apply in practice. Emphasis is placed on the correct execution of individual activities with reference to the individual and age-related characteristics of the students.
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes: Professional knowledge - the student can explain the benefits of health physical education - the student characterizes individual types of impairments - the student lists appropriate compensatory exercises and physical education activities - the student can define basic concepts from the given area Professional skills - the student can compile an exercise unit focused on various types of impairments General competencies - the student can compile physical education activities for students in practice, taking into account age, impairments and individual characteristics
Syllabus
Content: 1. Definition of basic terms – health physical education, health groups, physical activity, physical education activity, weakness, muscle imbalance, compensatory exercises 2. Health benefits of physical activities in the context of physical insufficiency 3. Healthy lifestyle 4. Healthy lifestyle in relation to physical education and health activities of students with disabilities – motivational stages of readiness for change 5. Diagnostics – correct posture 6. Muscle imbalance 7. Compensatory exercises – strengthening, stretching, relaxation, balance, breathing and relaxation 8. Exercises according to the type of weakness – trunk weakness, lower limb weakness, respiratory weakness, obesity 9. Physical education activities – movement games, musical-movement activities, elements of yoga in ZTV, etc. 10. Creating an exercise unit – by age category, by type of impairment 11. Equipment and tools used in physical education activities 12. Activities aimed at maintaining mental and social health

Students will be assessed for practical output - balancing exercises and seminar work - compiling an exercise unit according to the type of weakness. Active participation in classes and completion of partial tasks will be part of the assessment.
