- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide the information regarding labour forces, labour market, employment and still deepening unemployment, legislative background of employment policy. The course will provide the knowledge of direct and indirect instruments which influence the labour market: the forms of active and passive policy of employment, means of prevention of unemployment or its moderation, the attention is paid to genesis of unemployment with focus on regional unemployment, it traces the labour market peculiarities (character of LM, segmentation of LM, balance on LM), next mobility of labour forces. The attention is paid also to issue of graduates, discrimination on LM and foreigners on LM in the Czech republic.

- 1. Introductory - entry lecture - labour force as primary factor of regional (territorial) development - delimitation of the issue, definition, concepts, legislation
2. Society and unemployment - unemployment and its consequences, criteria of unemployment, unemployment measurement, types of unemployment, opinions on unemployment from the point of view of theoreticians, classics
3. Labour market - its peculiarities, characteristics of LM, segmentation of LM, investment to human capital
4. Genesis of unemployment issue in the Czech republic (retrospective after 1945 - current day), legislation
5. Mobility - fluctuation of labour forces as an instrument for solving of disproportion on LM, division of mobility (geographical, professional, economic etc.)
6. Mobility of labour forces - migration (its manifestations and impacts on LM), international mobility, commuting (its manifestations and consequences on LM)
7. Employment policy - general characteristics, Active employment policy and its role in unemployment reduction, legislation
8. Active employment policy - programmes APZ, its regional diversities, legislation
9. Foreign workers on labour market in the Czech republic - importance, plus and minuses in employing foreigners, legislation
10. International labour market, EU - opinions on regulation of unemployment, programmes, trends on labour market in EU and in the Czech republic, discrimination on LM and its solving including legislation
