Cíle předmětu
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the nature and functioning of public administration as a form of public power in a democratic state in general and in Central European countries in particular. Students will acquire the content features of two crucial components of public administration - state administration and territorial self-government, then they will get acquainted with the principles of good public administration and their application in the countries of Central Europe. The content of the course will enable students to understand the organization of state administration in terms of its subject and executors in individual countries of Central Europe with a focus on common and special features. In the same sense, students will learn the role and structure of local government (local and regional) in Central European countries. After completing the course, students will acquire knowledge that will enable them to understand the position of public administration in a democratic state, they can analyze and justify its constitutional foundation and organizational security and apply the acquired knowledge creatively in practice.
