Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to: - explain the basic theoretical concepts, in particular structural cognitive modifiability, the principles of mediated learning, and the importance of the cultural and affective components of learning,
- identify the role of the mediator in the process of instrumental awareness and understand its influence on the development of cognitive functions,
- distinguish between direct and mediated learning, - define individual cognitive functions and evaluate the possibilities of using instrumental awareness methods in various educational and intervention contexts, - apply the principles of mediated learning when working with the Connecting the Dots instrument,
- identify the cognitive functions developed through this instrument,
- conduct mediated work with an individual or group in accordance with the MIU methodology, including asking developmental questions and supporting metacognition,
- reflect on their own approach to mediation and analyze the ways in which it influences the process of cognitive modification in participants.
