Course objectives
The aim of the course is to equip students with the professional competence to navigate professional documentation and participate in the analysis of selected documentation materials that serve as a source of information about the support measures provided to pupils with special educational needs. Emphasis will be placed on special pedagogical phenomena and processes in the context of adhering to the prescribed document structure. Attention will also be paid to specific documents in the form of auditory or audiovisual recordings.
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes: Professional knowledge: - the student knows the methods of special educational diagnostics - the student understands the meaning of maintaining professional documentation for the purpose of comprehensive human development Professional skills: - the student verifies the practical application of basic means of special educational diagnostics - the student gains experience in creating selected documentation materials General competencies: - the student is ready to cooperate with other experts - the student is familiar with the process schemes of counseling services within the relevant departments - the student searches for new knowledge in the field for the purpose of their application in special educational and correctional programs
Syllabus
Content: 1. Pedagogical and special education diagnostics Diagnostic competencies of a special education teacher Selected diagnostic tools for the purpose of identifying special needs of persons with disabilities 2. Diagnostics of school maturity Diagnostics of a pupil with risk manifestations of school failure Observation record sheet (construction, application) 3. Evaluation of the observation record sheet, conclusions Diagnostic interview (construction, recording) Evaluation of the diagnostic interview, conclusions Possibilities of using registration aids (audio, video) for diagnostic purposes
