Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to selected knowledge of personality psychology, to teach them to apply this knowledge or skills to the practical activities of a management worker, and it is also suitable for future workers in the human resources and social spheres.
Learning outcomes
The student will explain the main historical assumptions of the emergence of personality psychology. He/She will characterize and compare different personality types in the context of personality development and formation. He/She will explain factors influencing the psychological characteristics of the personality, the relationship to the environment, to work and to oneself. He/She will characterize the specifics of the psychological development of the personality from a biological, psychological and moral perspective. He/She will analyze factors influencing the system of values ​​and norms in the process of individual socialization. He/She will explain the essence of the formation of attitudes and the value scale. He/She will analyze human character traits, abilities, skills and the ability of social learning in connection with the environment and personality development. He/She will characterize the sources of motivation and motivational behavior within the framework of personality typology. He/She will characterize the structure of the MBTI typology and apply it in practice. He/She will characterize specific personality disorders and explain the influence of genetic and social factors.

Introduction to Personality Psychology 

The Origin and Historical Development of Personality Psychology. Related Humanities and Psychological Disciplines. 

Humanistic and Cognitive Psychology of C. Rogers. 

Frankl's Personality Model, Logotherapy, Social Perception, Meaning of Life. 

Development and formation of personality and personality typology 

Biological determination of personality development (brain and nervous system, biological factors that influence human personality. Psychosocial factors influencing personality structure and behavior. Extroversion and introversion with applications to personal self-knowledge and knowledge of others. Personality typology according to Jung. Eysenck's personality typology, Spranger and Gretz's personality typology. 

Psychological characteristics of personality 

Character, character traits of a person towards himself, towards his surroundings, towards work. Voluntary character traits. Abilities, talents, skills, social learning, genetic factors and heredity. Types of intelligence. IQ, EQ. Measuring intelligence. 

Values, norms and attitudes 

Values ​​and types of values. The importance of value orientation in human life. Value scale. Norms, customs, mores. Socialization of the individual, conventions and conventional behavior. Formation of attitudes, changes attitudes, attitudes and behavior, attitudes and needs. 

Motivation – theory of motivated behavior 

Sources of motivation, motivated behavior. Stimulus and stimulation to action and behavior. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Motivational behavior within the framework of personality typology. Maslow's hierarchical theory of needs. Herzberg's two-factor theory of needs. Vroom's expectancy theory, Adams's equilibrium theory.
