The aim of the course is to explain and exercise the principles of information systems design and implementation including main principles of team project management.
Syllabus
  • 1. System, information system, information technologies, IS types.
    2. Project management, IT project specifics, Team management within IS design.
    3. Feasibility study.
    4. IS project planning, implementation, evaluation. Selection of IS supplier. IS project types.
    5. Target concept of designed system, desing methodologies, structured and object oriented design methods.
    6. Implementation stage.
    7. Economic and user-view evaluation of IS projects.
    8. ICT tools -MS Project.
    9. ICT tools - Gannt.
    10. Modeling in IS projects.
    11. REA method and its use in IS projects.
    12. CASE tool in IS design.
    13. Case studies.
