Course objectives
The students of the course gain theoretical and practical knowledge in the following fields: artificial intelligence, expert systems and knowledge engineering. The main aim of the course is to explain the use of artificial intelligence and expert systems for supporting of a manager in decision making process in business, marketing, finance, banking, public sector, etc. The students also get in contact with selected tools for creation of expert systems and knowledge discovery from databases.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • 1. Expertní systémy v kontextu umělé inteligence
    Umělá inteligence, expertní systém, základní principy znalostního inženýrství, typy aplikací expertních systémů.
    2. Charakteristiky expertních systémů
    Struktura expertního systému, znalosti, reprezentace znalostí, inferenční mechanismus, neurčitost.
    3. Prostředí NEST
    Historie NESTu, NEST, popis instalačního balíku a vlastní instalace, nastavení, NEST - základní možnosti a spuštění konzultace, možnosti okna dotaz a průběh konzultace, ukládání odpovědí, výsledky konzultace.
    4. Struktura báze znalostí a inferenční mechanizmus v NEST
    NEST editor, zadávání nových prvků báze znalostí, reprezentace znalostí, atributy a výroky, pravidla, kontexty, integritní omezení, inferenční mechanismus v NESTu.
    5. Neurčitost v NEST
    Práce s neurčitostí, funkce pro práci s neurčitostí, příklad výpočtu vah diagnóz, srovnání přístupů práce s neurčitostí v NEST.
    6. Aplikace v NEST
    Výběr problému a grafická reprezentace, příklad zpracování báze znalostí, založení nové báze, konstrukce báze znalostí, ladění báze, tvorba dokumentace.
