Cílem předmětu je skloubit teoretické předpoklady verbální komunikace jak ústní tak písemné se schopností aplikovat je v komerční praxi v anglickém jazyce( úroveň - B 2.2 - C 1.1 pokročilí, intermediate- upper intermediate ). Pozornost bude věnována rozvíjení dovedností mluvení, poslechu, psaní a čtení v obchodní angličtině, pochopení kontextu obchodních situací a kognitivních postupů s nimi souvisejících, rozšíření slovní zásoby profesního jazyka a prohloubení znalostí gramatických struktur. Cíle bude dosaženo pomocí široké nabídky různých typů komunikačních cvičení s odstupňovanou obtížností, všestrannou analýzou autentických textů s aktuální profesní tematikou, a bude také zahrnuto řešení případových studií zaměřených na jednotlivé tematické celky. Zvolené dovednosti jsou aplikovatelné nejen v rámci daného předmětu, ale rovněž zaujímají stěžejní místo v návaznosti na celoživotní vzdělávání.
