Předmět je otevřen studentům libovolného oboru.
Cíle předmětu
The objective of this course is to broaden and deepen knowledge in financial accounting of business entities. The course is oriented on mastery of accounting of direct and indirect taxes, charges and foreign exchange gains and losses, accruals and deferrals and estimated items. In addition, students shall get acquainted with leasing and its accounting concept, the issue of changes in the registered capital and accounting reflection of other items of equity and liabilities. It is also intended to teach students to comprehend the contents and information value of the financial statements and disclosure of information of financial accounting. In this respect, the issue of consolidation of accounting reports and audit and audit activities is not disregarded, and, last but not least, international harmonisation of accounting is included as well.

    1. Taxes in accounting - Part 1
    Characteristics of direct taxes, reflection of income taxes of private individuals and legal persons in accounting of a businessman, classification of property taxes and their accounting.
    2. Taxes in accounting - Part 2
    Characteristics of added value tax, persons which are liable to register as payers of such a tax, tax liability or excessive deduction of VAT, characteristics and accounting for excise taxes, accounting for indirect taxes of domestic trade operations and upon import.
    3. Charges, subsidies and foreign exchange gains and losses in accounting
    Basic characteristics of charges, their classification and reflection in accounting, definition of subsidies and their division into groups according to respective viewpoints, substance of foreign exchange gains and losses, the method of their accounting.
    4. Temporary assets and liabilities
    The meaning and substance of accruals and deferrals, types of accounts, methods of accounting. Estimates assets and liabilities, meaning and method of application.
    5. Leasing in accounting
    Characteristics of leasing and identification of basic terms (advance payment, leasing price and instalment), operative and financial leasing, accounting of a lessee and lessor.
    6. Registered capital and its changes
    Registered capital, receivables for subscribed share capital, changes in registered capital, accounting of a capital company and partners.
    7. Other equity and liabilities and their reflection in accounting
    Funds created from profit, transferred profit (loss), receivables due from partners upon settlement of a loss and payables upon profit distribution, long-term liabilities, account of an individual businessman.
    8. Accounting closing operations
    Determination of basic closing operations, obligations as of the balance date, presumptions of current accounting, calculation and accounting for income tax, closing accounting books, ensuring balance continuity.
    9. Financial statements of a business entity
    Characteristics of financial statements, types, balance sheet, profit and loss account, cash flow statement, overview of changes in equity.
    10. Basics of audit and annual report
    The substance of audit and audit activities, basic audit procedures, personality of an auditor, auditor's report and opinion and their information goals, annual report, its contents and form, preparation, approval and publication.
    11. International harmonisation of accounting
    The meaning and substance of international harmonisation of accounting, forms of international harmonisation of accounting
    12. Basic characteristics of consolidated financial statements
    The substance, contents and objectives of consolidation, their reflection in accounting reports, consolidated and consolidating accounting unit, consolidation group and basic consolidation rules, consolidation methods.
    13. Case study
    Case study, which shall concentrate on accounting operations with effects on the balance sheet and profit and loss account.
