Course objectives

The aim of the course is to introduce participants to the principles of operation and practical applicability of the SAP enterprise information system, which supports enterprise management and selected processes in areas such as sales, logistics, finance, and others. The course will make use of the SAP Learning Hub Student Edition platform, which enables participants to work with a real SAP ERP information system. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to explain the general architecture and information structure of the SAP system and its modules, operate the SAP system at the user level, including the execution of selected processes within specific modules, and possess practical skills such as performing system operations, posting transactions, creating reports, and carrying out other administrative and operational activities. Furthermore, participants will be able to distinguish between the role of an SAP user and that of an SAP consultant, particularly from the perspective of solution implementation. The course will also provide a detailed overview of individual processes for the available modules, based on SAP’s recommended principles, known as SAP Best Practices. The course expands the existing instruction in ERP systems K2 and MS Dynamics Business Central at SU OPF in Karviná by incorporating practice-oriented work with the SAP system.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to explain the general architecture and information structure of the SAP system and its modules, operate the SAP system at the user level, including the execution of selected processes within specific modules, and possess practical skills such as performing system operations, posting transactions, creating reports, and carrying out other administrative and operational activities. Furthermore, participants will be able to distinguish between the role of an SAP user and that of an SAP consultant, particularly from the perspective of solution implementation.

Absolvent kurzu je schopen pracovat se systémem SAP na úrovni uživatele, provádět základní transakce v jednotlivých modulech, realizovat vybrané podnikové procesy v prostředí SAP ERP, zadávat a zpracovávat data v systému, účtovat základní operace, vytvářet jednoduché reporty, orientovat se v uživatelském rozhraní SAP Fiori, aplikovat metodiku SAP Best Practices při řešení procesů, analyzovat rozdíly mezi standardním a upraveným řešením pomocí FIT-GAP analýzy, identifikovat vazby mezi jednotlivými moduly, vyhodnocovat integrační návaznosti procesů, pracovat s kmenovými a pohybovými daty, využívat nástroje AI v prostředí SAP, pracovat s AI asistentem SAP Joule, popsat a modelovat základní kroky implementačního projektu, připravit se na certifikační zkoušku prostřednictvím SAP Learning Hub.

Absolvent kurzu je schopen analyzovat a řešit praktické problémy v informačních systémech, aplikovat teoretické znalosti v reálném systémovém prostředí, systematicky a logicky uvažovat, samostatně se vzdělávat prostřednictvím e-learningových platforem, efektivně pracovat s odbornými informačními zdroji, komunikovat odborné závěry srozumitelnou formou, spolupracovat v týmu při řešení projektových úloh, adaptovat se na nové technologie a softwarové nástroje, kriticky hodnotit navrhovaná řešení, plánovat a organizovat vlastní studijní činnost, připravovat se na profesní certifikace, orientovat se v profesních rolích a kariérních možnostech v oblasti SAP systémů.

Teaching methods

Instruction will be delivered through seminars led by the course instructor, and participants will also be granted access to the SAP Learning Hub, where study materials, including a virtual learning environment, will be available. For instructional purposes, structured learning modules known as SAP Learning Journeys will be employed. These modules guide learners systematically through the entire educational process related to SAP products and solutions, from foundational concepts to advanced competencies. The course will also include practical, hands-on exercises within the system, enabling participants to actively apply and consolidate their acquired knowledge. Furthermore, the recommended methodology referred to as SAP Learning Pathways will be utilized to support participants in identifying and understanding SAP products and their respective applications. The course will incorporate elements of self-directed study, and participants will additionally have the opportunity to attend webinars provided by SAP through the Learning Hub, focusing on selected thematic areas relevant to their interests. This approach will also facilitate more effective preparation for certification examinations leading to the attainment of SAP certifications and micro-credentials.

Assessment methods

A minimum attendance rate of 80% is required. The course will be concluded by a final examination in the form of a test. Each participant will be granted two complimentary attempts for two certification examinations provided directly through the SAP Learning Hub. To successfully complete the course and obtain the micro-credential, all participants must pass a test administered in a supervised computer laboratory environment.
