Cílem předmětu je příprava na mezinárodní zkoušku z obchodní a profesní němčiny - Zertifikat Deutsch für den Beruf. Předpokladem pro absolvování předmětu jsou jazykové znalosti na úrovni ZD - Zertifikat Deutsch, dle referenční rámce ER úroveň B1. Složení mezinárodní zkoušky ZDfB představuje kvalifikační předpoklad pro úspěšné uplatnění na společném trhu práce v rámci rozšiřování EU.

Podmínkou získání zápočtu nebo připuštění ke zkoušce je povinná účast na seminářích v rozsahu 70% a další požadavky - předmět je ukončen zápočtem a soubornou zkouškou. V průběhu semestru mají posluchači možnost získat na základě průběžného písemného či ústního testování a po závěrečném kreditním testu až 100 bodů jako maximum, přičemž k získání zápočtu musí obdržet alespoň 60 bodů.
