- Course objectives
- Goal of the subject is to introduce to students principles and importance of management and its interdisciplinary characteristics, then to provide a brief outline of the development and the current state of this area. Attention is paid to the content of the managerial functions (basic, ongoing and safeguarding), and to managerial negotiation. Management is understood as a system (organic unity of structure and managerial process). Determination of the function of a manager, styles and principles of the management in relation with the use of modern information technologies and the communication in management systems is included.
- Syllabus
- Goal of the subject is to introduce to students principles and importance of management and its interdisciplinary characteristics, then to provide a brief outline of the development and the current state of this area. Attention is paid to the content of the managerial functions (basic, ongoing and safeguarding), and to managerial negotiation. Management is understood as a system (organic unity of structure and managerial process). Determination of the function of a manager, styles and principles of the management in relation with the use of modern information technologies and the communication in management systems is included.
1. Determination of the definition of management, functions and division of management. Managerial responsibilities, characteristics of a manager and his roles. Types of managers in the course of a company
2. Progress of management, characteristics of its progress and contribution for these day
3. Modern trends in management progress, current management and its methods
4. System of business management, formation of organization structures in an enterprise
5. Characterization of the process of management - basic managerial functions
6. Characterization of the process of management - ongoing and safeguarding functions
7. Strategic management, its position and goals in organization managing. Choice of strategies and their implementation
8. Risk and depreciation in business, effective communication and checking process. Risky human factor. Crisis management and its importance
9. Bases of ethics in management and an enterprise culture, ethic code and demonstration of enterprise culture
10. Innovative management and information management
11. Specific forms of management (quality management, ecological management)
12. Some specific features of management in the USA, Japan and Europe, their comparison. Business environment at present and its influence on management development. Special forms of management
