Course objectives
Course objectives: Level B 1.2 intermediate The course covers all phases of the correspondence between the hotel, guests and travel agencies, the emphasis is put on modern style of written communication. Exercises are practice-oriented and lead to successful reading comprehension and effective written means of communication with regard to modern communication media. The course is aimed at the acquisition of knowledge and skills sufficient to address the situations in the sphere of general and / or professional language. The course forms foreign language habits with students so that after its completion they will be able to understand the normal expressions of social contact and be able to apply them, along with reacting in everyday situations. It focuses on the possible situations that the hotel staff and tourist facilities come into contact with. In the foreground of the learning process there are competencies for professional conduct by acquiring expertise and social skills on examples from the field of tourism. The course also includes training strategies in the lexical, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension and speaking areas with an emphasis on intercultural competence.
