Syllabus
  • 1. The organization of the corporate budgeting process
  • The essence of the budgeting as a system of the current financial planning at the enterprise. Types and stages of the budgeting.
  • 2. Sales budget
  • The main sources of the incomes and expenses of the enterprise. The components of the product price. Pricing methods. Requirements for the sales budget.
  • 3. Production budget
  • The connection between the production budget and sales budget. Reasons for the creating the inventories of the finished products. Determining the required volume of the finished products.
  • 4. Budget of the total costs of production
  • The structure of the production costs. Budget of the direct material and labor costs. Factors of the productivity increasing. Expenses for the production defect. Budget of other direct and general production costs. Ways to optimize the structure of the production costs.
  • 5. Budget of the administrative and sales costs
  • The procedure for budgeting of the administrative and sales costs. The ratio of the production costs and the administrative and sales expenses within the price of product.
  • 6. Cash plan
  • Budgets of cash inflows and outflows of the company. Causes of the cash deficit. Determining the amount of the doubtful and hopeless debts. Terms of credit policy of the enterprise.
  • 7. Forecast annual financial reports
  • Compilation of the balance sheet, the income statement, the statement of cash flows. Calculation of the break-even point. Analysis of the financial indicators. Ways to recovery and financial stabilization of the company.
Assessment methods
seminar work and its presentation (40 % assessment), written exam (60 % assessment). The minimum required number of points for passing the course is 51 % of the total number of points.
