Cíle předmětu
The course objective is focused on basic logistics terms and approaches used in logistics. Logistics plays important role for all business activities for its entrepreneurial philosophy character. The intention of this course is to know elementary methods and logistic approaches and enlighten them in practice by practical examples of modern ways for solving logistic problems with regard to market and marketing strategy.

    The nature and importance of logistics. The origin of the word logistics and the historical roots of the logistics content. Historical development of logistics. Current concept of logistics. Objectives of logistics. Classification of logistics. Economic logistics. The role of logistics in economics and business. Methods of logistics. Organizational construction of logistics.
    2. Logistics activities and their costs
    Key logistics activities and their short characteristics. Types of logistics costs and their interconnection with logistics activities. The importance and need for accurate cost information. Logistics Information System. Restrictions on current financial statements. Supply chain management.
