Degree programme objectives
The goal of the professionally focused bachelor's degree program in Managerial Informatics is, in line with the needs of the current and anticipated future labor market, to prepare globally-minded graduates equipped with a sufficient set of knowledge, skills, and abilities in both the fields of information and communication technologies (ICT) as well as management, organization, and economics of enterprises, business, law, and more. Students will be equipped with such a volume of knowledge and practical skills that will ensure their high competitiveness in the labor market, even in relation to graduates from foreign universities. The development of students' knowledge and practical skills in the field of managerial informatics is primarily aimed at practical application in the areas of deployment, management, and administration of corporate IT at the middle and lower levels of management in small and medium-sized organizations, both in the business sector as well as in non-profit organizations and public administration. In the field of informatics, the main emphasis is placed on mastering the methods and tools for managing the design, development, and operation of information systems, managing computer networks, and programming web, mobile, and other applications for corporate needs. Additionally, students will focus on knowledge and practical skills related to the use of modern computer technology and generally applicable hardware and software in various contexts, particularly economic and business-related. In the economic field, the program focuses on acquiring basic and advanced knowledge in general economics, business economics, external economic environments, management, marketing, finance, and law. The integration of the aforementioned areas of education within the Managerial Informatics program provides a solid foundation for interdisciplinary competencies, offering graduates broader opportunities for employability in the future labor market. Given the professionally focused nature of the program, the evaluation of the learning process is largely based on the ability to solve practical problems through teamwork on assigned projects. It is also a matter of course to involve professionals from practice in preparing content for some subjects, teaching specific courses, delivering guest lectures, and providing topics for seminar and bachelor's theses.Study plans
