    Upon successful completion of the programme, the graduate is able to:

      • explain the significance of the discipline of special education, its position within the system of sciences, and its objectives and subject matter
      • identify psychodiagnostic methods and intervention strategies or programs that are grounded in psychological knowledge and applicable within the school environment
      • explain the patterns of education, training and overall development of people with disabilities and disadvantages in the physical, psychological and social spheres
      • describe the methods and principles of pedagogical and special educational diagnosis, especially in the case of educational problems of pupils, for follow-up interventions in the school environment
      • justify the conceptual and legislative framework for the processes of social and school inclusion for individuals with physical, psychological, and social disabilities or disadvantages
      • explain procedural frameworks for addressing behavioral and academic challenges within inclusive education systems
      • dentify general and innovative methods and forms of school instruction, as well as key didactic principles
      • demonstrate an understanding of opportunities to modernize education by applying information and communication technologies within teaching and learning processes
      • explain the principles of adapting general educational and training methods to meet the special needs of individuals with disabilities and disadvantages in the physical, psychological and social spheres
      • characterise the methods and processes of pedagogical intervention as part of the implementation of educational support measures
      • describe the tools of evaluation, testing and measurement in education, and explain the significance of school education evaluation and assessment
      • current curricular frameworks ensuring inclusive education
      • explain individualised educational approaches and the focus on lifelong learning processes
