Degree programme objectives

The study program Italian for professional purposes is a three-year bachelor's program implemented in full-time form. It is based on modern philology and is designed as a comprehensive study program with a practical focus.

The first goal of the program is to enable future graduates to master the practical language at C1 level and equip them with theoretical language knowledge. With an emphasis on practical starting points, individual language skills and grammatical and lexical knowledge are developed and strengthened, and at the same time a solid theoretical basis is created for a perfect understanding of the Italian language system. Students will also get a comprehensive overview of the literature, culture and realities of Italy.

At the same time, Italian for professional purposes goes beyond the scope of Philology education, in accordance with the needs of the labor market and with regard to the graduate's better employability. The program is based on the current needs of the region and the labor market requiring graduates who, in addition to general language preparation, will also be prepared for work in the economic sphere in the broadest sense of the word. A strong emphasis is therefore placed on professional subjects that prepare future graduates for professional employment and ensure the applicability of acquired knowledge, skills and attitudes in practice, which represents the second goal of the program.
