Abstract
Historická publikace „Pohlednice z Opavy 1908 – 1945“ se věnuje vizuální prezentaci města na dobových pohlednicích a navazuje na předchozí díl zaměřený na období 1896 – 1918. Kromě bohaté obrazové přílohy se text zaměřuje na analýzu kulturních, sociálních podmínek opavských obyvatel ve zvoleném období, architektonickým dominantám, veřejnému prostoru, volnému času městských obyvatel. Text je zasazen do historického sociálního kontextu, který byl determinován především převládající německou většinou. V textu jsou zařazeny kapitoly vycházející z interpretace obrazových pramenů s odkazem na vizuální sociologii.
Abstract (in English)
The historical publication "Postcards from Opava 1908 - 1945" deals with the visual presentation of the town on period postcards and follows up the previous part focused on the period 1896 - 1918. Besides the rich picture attachment, the text focuses on the analysis of the cultural, social conditions of the inhabitants of Opava in the chosen period, the architectural dominance, the public space, the free time of the urban population. The text is set in the historical social context, which was determined mainly by the predominant German majority. The chapters included in the text are based on the interpretation of pictorial sources with the reference to visual sociology.
