N2  - The content of the present paper is relevant to the search of domestic, foreign literature and other sources related to the use of brownfields for entrepreneurial activity. Unused and abandoned buildings and sites constitute an internal resource that is usable by the private sector for the potential of their activities, with the general public interest in restoring business activity to brownfields instead of initially starting on a greenfield. Comparison of expert texts will allow to define, determine and classify the key factors that are precisely those characteristics of brownfields that make attractive brownfields in the investment decisions of entrepreneurs. These identified brownfield features will be critically compared to the factors that characterize the selected brownfields in the Czech Republic.
