On the basis of the qualitative primary research conducted in SMEs in the Czech Republic, the aim of the article is to discuss the selected elements of the sets of competencies of the current successful entrepreneur in the Czech Republic. The main conclusions are formulated in the need for area of awareness of logistics activities in particular.
