Seriál cyklistických závodů "Kolo pro život České spořitelny" má již 16 letou tradic a každoročně se jej účastní na 25.000 aktivních účastníků. Analyzujeme prostorové rozmístění jednotlivých závodů seriálu a jejich možný vliv na rekreační potenciál krajiny potažmo na cestovní ruch. Zdrojem sekundárních dat byla "Aktualizace potenciálu cestovního ruchu v České republice" a dostupné zdroje pořadatelů o seriálu závodů "Kolo pro život". Pro analýzu dat jsme použili metody deskriptivní statistiky a metody korelační analýzy. Naše výsledky naznačují, že zájem o jednotlivé závody a jejich místa konání nejsou primárně ovlivněny atraktivitou lokality, kde se závod pořádá, nebo jeho dopravní dostupností. Pořadatelství akcí a událostí nejrůznějšího charakteru představují možnost jak valorizovat potenciální využití krajiny pro cestovní ruch.

The series of cycling races "Bike for Life Czech Savings Bank" has 16 years old tradition and every year is attended by 25,000 active participants. The aim of this paper is to analyse the spatial distribution of particular races of the series and their possible influence on the recreational potential of the landscape and tourism. The source of secondary data were from "The updating the potential of tourism in the Czech Republic" and the available resources of the organizers of the race series "Bike for Life". For data analysis, we used methods of descriptive statistics and correlation analysis methods. Our results suggest that interest in the individual events and their spatial location are not primarily influenced by the attractiveness of the location where the race is organized, nor by its traffic availability. Organize the events of various nature are the way to valorise the potential use of land for tourism.
