Border regions have problems that are reflected in their economic development, but on the otherhand, for them itis characterized by a high potential that is not yet fully exploited. So there areopportunities to enhance the competitiveness of the regions and also reduce negative regionaldisparity against other regions. This is also one of the objectives of the European Union whichfocuses on the regions. It is important to focus on businesses and entrepreneurs in these regions,because their results of operations are subsequently reflected in the development of the region.Businesses in border areas have a certain advantage for working with businesses cross borderminimum for territorial proximity. This cooperation is realized, but so far it seems to be inadequate,and there are still plenty of obstacles that complicate the cooperation. The aim of this paper is toshow the problems faced by businesses in the Czech-Polish border and suggest possiblesolutions. To identify the specific problems was conducted primary research that is evaluated usingstatistical methods and connected with the results of the analysis of regional disparities in borderregions.
