Abstract
This paper deals with non-financial corporations. This sector is the largest creator and contributor of gross value added at the regional as well as the national level. The behaviour of this sector will be examined by indicators: gross investment rate, gross saving rate, gross self-financing rate and profitability indicators as well: gross profit share, gross return on capital employed (before taxes), and net return on equity (after taxes) within the Visegrad group plus countries and the European Union countries during the period 2004-2014.
