Abstract
V originále
The aim of the article is to examine the future feasibility of human interstellar flights from economic, energetic, technological, and other perspectives. It seeks answers to the questions, "Is it feasible?" and "When will it be feasible?" based on the extrapolation of current trends in energetic production, economic growth, or technological progress. Today, even a non-manned interstellar flight is beyond our possibilities due to the lack of suitable technology necessary for the flights with a velocity close to the speed of light. However, it is shown that the manned mission to the nearest stars might be possible (under the most optimistic scenario) already around year 2190, if the current trends persist.
