Abstract
The article deals with the changes in consumption of Czech tourism after a currency intervention by the Czech National Bank in the autumn 2013. It explores selected aspects of macroeconomic (balance of payments, national accounts data), microeconomic and non-financial performance indicators, focusing on catching the changes of consumer behaviour in tourism. It explores the impacts of currency intervention on the incomes and spending of tourism, the number of the trips and stays, the attitude of different groups of tourists and deals with the change of substitution of the tourist product. The initial negative reaction to CBN's monetary intervention during one year was changed, the Czech tourism market quickly coped with that and adapted to the incurred situation.
