Abstract
Financial literacy and reaction to solve business problems coming from the external macroenvironment are closely linked together. Here, we explored the financial literacy in a form of expectations that entrepreneur will behave as was recommended. The paper aims to compare a set of expectations (presented by a mixture of knowledge of financial ratios and processes) and their current behaviour. The results are based on primary research (238 respondents) in the Czech Republic. Those findings are presented in the form of “cross-tab” in the form of a correlation matrix. Moreover, the study confirmed a negative relationship related to self-financing activities and a significant role of the cash-flow statement. Based on these results, implications for further research on this topic, as well as implications for practitioners and educators are mentioned.
