The paper will focus on the analysis of Silesian narrative sources (e.g. the Geschichte der Stadt Breslau written by the Wroclaw scribe Peter Eschenloer, etc.) from the perspective of natural disasters, their portrayal, context and consequences. In addition to the natural disasters themselves (their categorization) and the crises caused by them, emphasis will be placed on their symbolic utilization in the work of Silesian medieval chroniclers.
