Abstract
This paper outlines research conducted on neologisms and word-formation processes as means of their creation in selected fantasy novels of J.K. Rowling and Christopher Paolini. It also provides the final results of this research and shows the extent to which the preferences of the two authors differ, as far as word-formation processes are concerned. The paper is divided into four sections Introduction, Research, Analysis and Comparison, and Conclusion. It also includes pieces of text from the selected novels and various tables for better orientation.
