Příspěvek se zabývá evolučně ontologickou reflexí některých současných problémů informační etiky, zejména problémů makroetických. Autor formuluje koncepci infocentrické ekoetiky, kterou považuje za teoretickou konsekvenci a praktickou aplikaci evolučně ontologické interpretace světa (přírodního, sociokulturního a digitálního). Tuto etickou koncepci zároveň chápe jako rozšíření etického diskurzu o reflexi ontologické kategorie informace, které je z hlediska evolučně konstitutivního procesu (přírodního či sociokulturního) přisuzována inherentní hodnota. Zdůrazňuje důležitost informační bio-/sociodiverzity, a to nejenom v souvislostech informační ekologie, ale i v kontextu světa jako takového. V neposlední řadě poukazuje také na cíle, možnosti a důležitost infocentrické ekoetiky při řešení některých problémů informační společnosti.

The paper discusses selected contemporary concerns of information ethics – specifically macro ethical issues – via the lens of evolutionary ontology. It proposes a concept of infocentric ecoethics, which is understood as a theoretical consequence and practical application of the evolutionary ontological interpretation of the natural, sociocultural, and digital world. This ethical stance is then regarded as an expansion of ethical discourse on the reflection of ontological category of information, which is – from the perspective of both the natural and sociocultural evolutionary constitutive process – ascribed an inherent value. The essay further highlights the significance of information bio-/sociodiversity in the contexts of information ecology as well as of the world per se. After addressing several major issues, the conclusion explores the aims, functions, and potential role of the infocentric ecoethics as the problem-solving tool for specific struggles of information societies.
