Abstract
Sustainable development is one of the main goals in all areas of human life. The aim of this paper is to present a survey conducted on a sample of selected accommodation establishments from the Moravian-Silesian region to examine the interest in environmental protection and to identify trends in sustainable operation of accommodation establishments. The authors used methods comparative analysis of the investigated sustainability factors and survey. The results show that hotels follow the trend of sustainable development and promote ecology, the link between indicators of competitiveness and sustainable tourism development was demonstrated.
