Abstract
The current era is characterized by a high degree of digitization and Industry 4, which have a significant impact on the global economy and society. This study aims to identify the historical development of IT and socio-economic impacts and to find parallels with current processes. The history is mapped in socialist Czechoslovakia, which was one of the most technologically advanced countries in the post-war years, and its subsequent socio-economic development is characterized by its involvement in supranational structures, so it is a suitable analytical model. The basic research method was the reconnaissance and comparison of archival sources and subsequent comparative and exploratory analysis supplemented by AI analysis, which is directed to parallels with current economic and political reality.
