Studie pojednává o problematice civilní protiletecké ochrany a branné výchovy ve světle tištěných pramenů v letech 1935–1939. První kapitola analyzuje vývoj tištěných médií v meziválečném období v závislosti na jejich legislativu a ohromnou rozmanitost tištěných novin a časopisů. Druhá kapitola analyzuje veřejné mínění a užití tištěných médií pro účely propagace armády a potřeby ochrany státu proti jeho nepřátelům. Třetí kapitola analyzuje tištěné primární zdroje dostupné pro studium problematiky civilní protiletecké ochrany a branné výchovy. Čtvrtá kapitola nastiňuje systém civilní protiletecké ochrany a branné výchovy. Závěrečná kapitola je klíčovou částí studie, přičemž analyzuje reflexi civilní protiletecké ochrany a branné výchovy ve světle tištěných pramenů se zřetelem na dějiny každodennosti a regionální historii. To je spojeno s analýzou novin České slovo a Svobodná republika a časopisy Hvězda československých paní a dívek a Obrana obyvatelstva.

The study deals with the topic of The Civil Air Defence and the Civil Defence Education in the Light of Printed Sources in the Years 1935–1939. The first chapter is analysing the development of print media in the interwar period according to its legislation and a vast variety of printed newspapers and magazines. The second chapter is analysing the public opinion and the usage of the print media for the purpose of propagation of the army and the need for the defence of the state against the enemies. The third chapter is analysing the printed primary sources available for studying of the problematics of the Civil Air Defence and the Civil Defence Education. The fourth chapter is outlining the system of the Civil Air Defence and Civil Defence Education. The last chapter is the crucial part of the study as it is analysing the reflection of the Civil Air Defence and the Civil Defence Education in the light of printed sources with the consideration of the history of everyday life and the regional history. It is connected with the analysis of the the newspapers České slovo and Svobodná republika and the magazines Hvězda československých paní a dívek and Obrana obyvatelstva.
