Referat Niebezpieczne bezpieczeństwo koncentruje się na paradoksie współczesnego wychowania, które w dążeniu do maksymalnej ochrony dzieci ogranicza ich naturalny kontakt z ryzykiem, niepewnością i odpowiedzialnością. Na podstawie prac W. J. Doherty’ego, F. Furediego i J. Haidta pokazuje, w jaki sposób kultura strachu i nadmiernej prewencji przyczynia się do wzrostu lęku i kruchości młodego pokolenia. Inspiracja koncepcją antykruchości N. Taleba oraz ujęciem bezpieczeństwa A. Wildawsky’ego podkreśla znaczenie kontrolowanego ryzyka dla zdrowego rozwoju dziecka. Referat osadzony jest w demograficznym kontekście współczesnego społeczeństwa czeskiego.

The paper Dangerous Safety focuses on the paradox of contemporary child-rearing practices that, in their effort to provide maximum protection, limit children’s natural exposure to risk, uncertainty, and responsibility. Drawing on the work of W. J. Doherty, F. Furedi, and J. Haidt, it demonstrates how a culture of fear and excessive prevention contributes to rising anxiety and fragility in the younger generation. Inspired by N. Taleb’s concept of antifragility and A. Wildavsky’s understanding of safety, the paper highlights the importance of manageable risk for healthy child development. The discussion is situated within the demographic context of contemporary Czech society.
