Josef Lowags Altvater-Sagen sind voll von Naturbeschreibungen und Landschaftsdarstellungen. Der Beitrag hat das Ziel, die Natur- und Landschaftsdarstellungen in Altvater-Sagen und den Schlesischen Volks- und Bergmannssagen zu untersuchen. Dabei geht es vor allem um das Wie und Wo dieser Natur- und Landschaftsdarstellungen. Es soll die Spezifik der Naturdarstellungen Lowags herausgearbeitet werden. Dazu werden auch theoretische Erkenntnisse der Landschaftsforschung herangezogen und ausgewertet.

The aim is to examine Silesian folk and mining legends. This focuses primarily on the how and where of these depictions of nature and landscape. The specific characteristics of Lowag's nature portrayals will be explored. To this end, theoretical findings from landscape research will also be drawn upon and evaluated.
