Dokument zaměřený na brutalistní architekturu Ostravy jako výrazný fenomén poválečného urbanismu. Plavecký bazén v Porubě, sportovní hala ve Vítkovicích nebo bývalá telefonní ústředna v Mariánských Horách jsou představeny jako klíčové příklady tohoto architektonického směru v moravskoslezské metropoli. Brutalismus je zde nahlížen nejen jako styl pracující s pohledovým betonem a monumentálními hmotami, ale také jako odraz společenských ambicí a hodnot své doby. O brutalismu i konkrétních stavbách hovoří historici architektury Martin Strakoš a Jakub Potůček a ředitel městské galerie současného umění PLATO Marek Pokorný.

A documentary focusing on Ostrava's brutalist architecture as a distinctive phenomenon of post-war urbanism. The swimming pool in Poruba, the sports hall in Vítkovice, and the former telephone exchange in Mariánské Hory are presented as key examples of this architectural style in the Moravian-Silesian metropolis. Brutalism is viewed here not only as a style that works with exposed concrete and monumental masses, but also as a reflection of the social ambitions and values of its time. Architecture historians Martin Strakoš and Jakub Potůček and Marek Pokorný, director of the PLATO contemporary art gallery, discuss brutalism and specific buildings.
