Course objectives
To acquaint students with the basic rules and principles of English grammar.  In the course, students will learn how language is structured and what the term grammar includes, as well as how the prescriptive and descriptive approach to grammar differs.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- navigate the field of grammar;
- identify and describe how the academic approach to grammar differs from the ESL approach
