Listeners reach the level of individual users of the language. Recordings of longer speeches by native speakers (interviews, reports, excerpts from films) and reading moderately difficult literary and non-literary texts on current topics help develop students' ability to understand spoken and written words and serve as a basis for discussion and conversational and written exercises on common topics.
