- Course objectives
- The course is focused on the systematic and comprehensive development of language competence and on the practical application of communicative skills for intermediate English speakers. Students will consolidate and deepen their knowledge of English grammar, expand their vocabulary and practice pronunciation. The emphasis will be on speaking and listening. Classes will be based on lessons 1-3 of the English File Intermediate 3rd Edition textbook.

- The student speaks English in words and writing at a level corresponding to the textbook used.

- 1. Present simple and continous. Action and non-action verbs. 2. Food and cooking. Short and long vowel sounds. 3. Future forms. 4. Family, adjectives of personality. Sentence stress, word stress, adjective endings. 5. Present perfect and past simple. 6. Money. The letter o. 7. Present perfect + for / since. Present perfect continuous. 8. Strong adjectives. Sentence stress. Stress of strong adjectives. 9. Comparatives and superlatives. 10. Transport. Linking. 11. Articles. 12. Collocation (verbs / adjectives + prepositions). 13. Revise and check 1-3.
