Course objectives
The subject of communication skills deals with the importance of communication in the contemporary world, both in interpersonal relationships and in business, marketing or presentation. After completing the course, the student will master the basic elements of interpersonal communication in the oral, written and telephone levels. He will be able to name the socio-cultural differences of several major world regions. The graduate of the course will be able to design a monologue and dialogue in a structured way. The course is accompanied by many interactive, practical demonstrations and exercises. Verification of acquired knowledge and skills will be performed on the basis of individual and group exercises. The course ends with an oral examination.

  • 1. The importance of communication in today's world 2. Development and history of communication 3. Typology of people and their communication styles 4. Communication styles according to the typology of people in practice 5. Verbal skills 6. Listening 7. Practical exercises: Crocodile river / Balloon flight 8. Nonverbal communication 9. Communication in stressful situations 10. Practical exercises: solving crisis situations in communication 11. Intercultural communication 12. Marketing communication 13. Summary, space for discussion, final evaluation
