- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to prepare graduates for practice in the development of information systems. Students will acquire knowledge about structured and object-oriented approach to IS analysis and design, on methodologies and methods of IS analysis and design, on the basics of creating business architecture IS/IT. Exercises are devoted to individual work of students - design of information system for selected facility, organization.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the basic concepts and principles of information systems (IS) development
- Describe IS development methodologies and methods and their role in practice
- Analyze information system requirements using structured methods
- Design an information system using object models (e.g. UML)
- Identify classes, their relationships and interactions as part of object-oriented design.
- Explain the fundamentals of IS/IT architecture design and modeling - Syllabus
