Course objectives
We follow the theme of the course “Information and Cyber Security I”. This following course is focused on the problems of personal security in cyberspace, on security incident recognition, on security teamwork and, finally, security of information systems in large scale networks.
Syllabus
  • 1. Cyberspace, specifics of solving problems in cyberspace. 2. Digital identity: definition, digital identity for public administration, digital identity in cyberspace, behavioral analysis for digital identity acquisition, anonymization, risks and threats arising from digital identity provision. 3. Personal identity: sociál networks, globál web services, profiling, psychometrics, prediction, application of AI systems, big data, risks, defense options. 4. Security incidents: classification of incidents, incidents against privacy, accessibility and integrity of information, sociotechnical and technical incidents, defense options. 5. Security legislation in ČR and EU countries, technical standards and best practices, certification standards. Purpose and limits oflegislation. 6. Security monitoring centers. SIEM/ISMS systems, log management, secure information flow management. Security teams at national and state level, security teams of large organizations, CERT, CSIRT, CIRC. Legal framework for the operation of security teams and their coordination. 7. Cyber security: security aspects of information systems over infrastructure of large scale networks, security aspects of state assets protection.
