- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to supplement students' knowledge with current themes from information technology and IS/IT management. Students are acquainted with principles of project management of IS development and management of IS/IT operations in the company (IT services management according to the ITIL concept). The acquired knowledge will be applied by the graduates in the informatics professions: project manager of IS development, head of the IS/IT department in the company on various level of management, IS/IT security manager, etc. Exercises are focused on deepening of knowledge, current trends, current events in IS.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will have knowledge and an overview of the areas of IS/IT management, about the company and its management components, what a project manager, security manager, manager, etc. does. They will get to know current trends in IS/IT.

- 1. IS/IT project management, basic concepts.
- 2. Project organization and planning.
- 3. Project implementation; scope, time and cost management.
- 4. Project documentation and methodology.
- 5. Management of IS/IT operations in a company, basic concepts.
- 6. IT service management, according to ITIL concept.

- Theoretical preparation, project work, exercises.
- Assessment methods
